About Me

My background

Coming to therapy takes courage. If you've found your way here, you're already taking that first step — and I'd love to help you with the next one.

My background spans 25 years in roles dedicated to support and wellbeing — and working closely with people has always felt like both a privilege and a genuine inspiration. I trained originally as an occupational therapist, specialising in mental health and working extensively with people experiencing eating disorders and psychiatric conditions. That grounding gave me a deep appreciation of how closely our minds and bodies are connected — and how much our mental health shapes everyday life.

I went on to train as a hypnotherapist and psychotherapeutic counsellor, and for the past four and a half years I have been working both in private practice and for a local voluntary organisation, where I have worked with a wonderfully diverse range of people, including refugees and asylum seekers. That work has deepened my commitment to trauma-informed practice — to working with people whose lives have been shaped by complex, and often very painful, experiences.

I grew up in Norfolk and it's still home. The landscapes, the water, the outdoors — these things restore me, and they've shaped how I think about wellbeing. I believe that getting outside, moving, and feeling connected to something bigger than ourselves can be quietly transformative. Those moments of stillness and connection matter — and they're a reminder of how much the world outside the therapy room can be part of healing too.

Whatever has brought you here, I believe you deserve the space to feel truly heard and to explore what's possible for you.
